who

We come from theatre lighting backgrounds, designing lighting for musicals, plays, opera, and concerts internationally. This brings no bias to one manufacturer, no bias to having our own products to sell and, no bias to large design firm practices.

We treat each project as needing its own bespoke approach and style, from ultra-modern concrete minimalism to listed barn conversions. The lighting should be there to compliment the architecture and not draw attention to itself, it should add to the experience and emotion of how you live in your home.

what

Lighting is probably the most interacted element of any home, and turning on the lights is probably the first thing you do when arriving home, or walking into a room.  When building a home of architectural merit, the lighting can play a huge role in sculpting these spaces, and ultimately sets the mood of how you feel in your home once you're living it in.

why

We all have our specialties and the world of lighting is changing weekly, with new eco LED fittings and technological advances. Gone are the days of a grid of downlights, it is about layers of light, sculpting a space to the way you like to live.

A designer can play a key role in making sure there is the perfect balance between technical necessities and aesthetic niceties.

It is hugely beneficial to try and integrate the lighting right from the beginning of a project's design process, rather than being an afterthought after ground has been broken on site.

It is key to remember that lighting should be considered as much as the bricks and mortar of any build.
